PSY Received Guinness World Record Certificate For Gangnam Style Viral Video

Have you seen Gagnam Style Dance Video? Ofcource you did! The south Korean superstar Park Jae-Sang [PSY] received his first ever Guinness World Records Certificate in London for his viral “Gangnam Style” video. The video got most likes last month in the history of YouTube. Check out the details after the jump.

The most epic ever, “Gagnam Style” song video was uploaded on YouTube on 15th July, 2012. Since then, it got 4,911,081 likes, beating the 1,574,963 likes of LMFAO’s Party Rock Anthem, 1,327,147 likes of Justin’s Bieber’s Baby, and 1,245,641 likes of British pop star Adele’s Rolling in the Deep.

While receiving the award today [on 8th November, 2012] PSY said that he is honored, this is his first certificate he have ever had. He also said that he didn’t get one at school.

Guinness World Records Editor-in-Chief Craig Glenday presented the award and said:

“We’re pleased to present his official certificate to such a global phenomenon, Gangnam Style is an infectious, joyous song that has brought a smile to the faces of a tenth of the world’s population, and the result is that it’s the most liked video of any kind in the history of YouTube!”
