Gideon Sundback Google Doodle Zipper [24th-April-2012]

Today, on 24th April 2012, it’s the Birthday of Gideon Sundback, a man who is generally related with his work in the development of the zipper. Google is celebrating his birthday in its own way of creative Google Doodle. Check out the Gideon Sundback Google Doodle video after the jump.
Gideon Sundback Introduction:
Gideon Sundback was born on 24th April, 1880. He was a Swedish-American electrical engineer. Sundback made several enhancements in the progress of the zipper between 1906 and 1914, while working for companies that afterward changed into Talon, Inc. He amplified the number of binding elements from four per inch to ten or eleven. His innovation had two facing rows of teeth that pulled into a solo portion by the slider, and increased the gap for the teeth guided by the slider. Gideon Sundback was honored by addition in the National Inventors Hall of Fame for his work on the improvement of the zipper, in 2006. He died of a heart condition in 1954 and was interred at Greendale cemetery in Meadville, Pennsylvania.
