How To Disable/Enable Facebook Timeline For Profiles On Google Chrome? [Working]

Facebook Timeline is the new interface of Facebook Profiles and Pages and most of the people dislike it. We have found an easy method of disabling and re-enabling the Facebook Timeline from your Facebook profile on Google Chrome. Check out the tutorial after the jump.

The tutorial will help you viewing your old profile permanently and works with Google Chrome [I believe most of the Facebook users use Chrome]. Timeline will be still there activated but you will see old profiles all around Facebook and that’s fair enough.

How to Disable Facebook Timeline for Profiles?

The tutorial is 100% working and tested by us. You need to install the Chrome extension called “Timeline Remove” and it will help you disabling the Timeline. So follow the simple steps below.

Step 1:

Open the Link for Chrome Extension. Allow it by clicking on “continue” at the bottom of Chrome.

Step 2:

Now click on “Install” to add the extension in your browser.

Step 3:

Refresh your Facebook Profile page or restart your Google Chrome (browser). You will see your old profile.

How to Re-Enable Facebook Timeline on Your Profile?

You can easily toggle between enable and disable. Just you need to change settings of the Chrome Extension. Follow the steps below.

Step 1:

Click on “Chrome Tool Button” from the top right corner and then on “Options”.

Step 2:

Now click on “Extensions” to change the extension settings.

Step 3:

Now “Un-Check” the small check box to re-enable Facebook Timeline for your Profile.

Step 4:

Refresh your Facebook Profile and you will see your Timeline again.

Note:

Repeat the process and “Check” the small box to disable Timeline.

  • Check the box -> To disable Facebook Timeline
  • Uncheck the box -> To enable Facebook Timeline

All these changes can be only view-able by you and your friends will see your Timeline even if you disable it from the extension.

       It’s maximum we can do! Timeline is the official feature of Facebook now and it cannot be deleted permanently! Sorry dude.

    The Chrome plug-in worked great to restore my profile page, but there is now a problem with the formatting on my messages page.  The left pane that has Favorites, Groups, Apps, Friends, Etc. is too far to the right and running into the message area.  If I uncheck Timeline Remove, the messages page goes back to normal.  I still prefer the formatting issues over Timeline, as they don’t really interfere with how the page functions, but I was wondering if there was a way to fix this?

    I posted the direct link to timeline remove and facebook disabled my timeline remove extension after calling it spam. It doesn’t work anymore.

    There is also a free extension for Chrome called Fbpurity @ fbpurity.com, which not only disables Timeline, but allows you to eliminate/control most of the annoyances. I have not seen an add or the Ticker or who changed their profile pic or read 8 articles or any of that in years. I had the Ticker for about a day, until fbpurity upgraded to handle it. FB does actively work against fbpurity…but so far the guys have been brilliant at keeping the functions working!

    Dear Blazomania, My problem is same, other friends are watching my profile on Timeline. But I really appreciate your help that tried to free us from this curse. My question is if everyone is hating Timeline then why the hell Facebook team chasing after Timeline??? Is there any way open for us to terminate this permanently all together??? Please Help Us. This Timeline is really DISGUSTING.
