14-Years Old Boy Got Hired by Microsoft on Phishing Via Call of Duty Server

You will be shocked to know that a 14 year old Irish hacker on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 phishing scam is recently hired by Microsoft. Check out the details after the jump.

Hacker News stated that:

Microsoft is reported to be working with the 14-year-old Irish hacker who managed to stir up a little trouble with his Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 phishing scam alert. According to the managing director of Microsoft of Ireland, the company is helping the hacker “develop his talent for legitimate purposes.”

It’s a dream come true kind of situation for the boy, whose name was not revealed. But that doesn’t mean that every hacker should try to do the same to be get recruited by some tech giant.

It’s totally luck of that boy because Sony did totally opposite to George Hotz who was dragged to court on the charge of PlayStation 3 hacking exploits. Then somehow after a lot of problems the issue was resolved. Companies should give these hackers, a positive way to show their talent, instead of messing up with them.
